Halliburton to Develop Data Center for Beetaloo in Australia
Halliburton (HAL) has entered an agreement to develop Australian energy firm Beetaloo Energy's a vertically integrated data center project in the Northern Territory of Australia, according to Beetaloo Thursday.As per the non-binding memorandum of understanding, Halliburton is expected to provide technical services support to assess and develop upstream gas resources required for the project, Beetaloo Energy said in a statement on Thursday.The project will rely on Beetaloo Energy's Beetaloo Basin gas resources and a newly acquired 185-hectare site at Weddell, near Darwin.Halliburton is expected to help with upstream field development, integrated drilling services, and project execution.The project is contingent upon concept studies, consortium formation, financing, and relevant government and regulatory approvals, the statement said.Beetaloo Digital is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beetaloo Energy which intends to create a vertically integrated infrastructure supported by the parent company's gas resource in the Beetaloo Basin, Northern Territory.It intends to produce new capacity instead of using power from the existing grid, the statement said.
