Keppel Unit Starts Arbitration vs Vietnam JV Partners Over Land Use Fees

Keppel's (SGX:BN4) subsidiary, Corredance, started an arbitration against its three partners in a Vietnamese joint venture over land fees, according to a Monday filing with the Singapore Exchange.Corredance is seeking declarations that Denver Power, Tien Phuoc Real Estate Joint Stock Company, and Tran Thai Lands, not the company, are fully liable for about 6.877 trillion dong of additional land use fees that the authorities have imposed on their joint venture by the end of 2025.The joint venture was established for constructing, developing and operating residential and mixed-use developments in Ho Chi Minh. It is 40% owned by Corredance.

China Resources Microelectronics' (SHA:688396) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first quarter surged 297% to 330 million yuan from 83.2 million yuan a year earlier, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.The Chinese semiconductor manufacturer's shares rose 1% during Monday's midday trade.Earnings per share soared 295% year on year to 0.25 yuan from 0.06 yuan.Operating revenue jumped 21% to 2.86 billion yuan from 2.35 billion yuan in the previous year.

Geovis Technology (SHA:688568) swung to a net loss attributable to shareholders of 148.8 million yuan, or 0.18 yuan per share, in the first quarter, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.The Chinese big data system developer's shares dropped 8% during Monday's midday trade.The attributable profit a year earlier was 20.8 million yuan, or 0.03 yuan per share.Operating revenue dropped 59% year on year to 202.7 million yuan from 504.3 million yuan.

Island Pharmaceuticals' (ASX:ILA) work alongside the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and Texas Biomedical Research Institute is well progressed, with the next phase of clinical development for its Galidesivir drug candidate expected to start shortly, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.It received around a AU$143,000 refund under the Australian Government's research and development tax incentive for the fiscal year 2025. The refund relates to eligible expenditure associated with the ongoing development of ISLA-101.It worked alongside Todd Strategy Group and MC2 to advance industry engagement initiatives in the US during the March quarter.Galidesivir is a clinical-stage antiviral molecule with broad-spectrum activity against over 20 RNA viruses, including Ebola, Marburg, MERS, Zika, and Yellow fever, the filing added.Its shares were up 1% in recent trading on Monday.
