Kioxia (TYO:285A) plans to leverage enhanced NAND flash memory as a Dynamic Random-Access Memory (DRAM) alternative, Nikkei Asia reported on Friday citing general manager Katsuki Matsudera.
The initiative will help Kioxia deepen partnerships with major U.S. tech companies amid rising competition from Chinese manufacturers, the news agency said.
Matsudera was speaking at a recent briefing, where Kioxia demonstrated its Compute Express Link (CXL) module, engineered for AI applications to boost NAND processing speeds, the publication said.
