Ligent Technologies passed its listing hearing with the Hong Kong bourse, paving the way for its proposed initial public offering in the city to proceed.
The Chinese optical transceiver maker intends to use the IPO proceeds for research and development, expansion of production capacity, procurement of specialized equipment, marketing activities, M&As, and working capital, according to its post-hearing information pack.
The company, owned 48.6% by Hisense Group, is targeting to raise $800 million and could launch the IPO as early as Sept. 14, Reuters reported, but the offering size, valuation and timeline are still subject to change.
