Alphamab Oncology's (HKG:9966) wholly owned subsidiary, Jiangsu Alphamab Biopharmaceuticals, has granted Pathos AI an exclusive license to develop and commercialize cancer drug JSKN016 outside mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, in a deal worth up to $2.09 billion.Under the agreement, Alphamab will receive a $125 million upfront payment and is eligible for additional milestone payments and tiered royalties based on sales in the licensed markets, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing.As part of the deal, Pathos AI granted Alphamab an option to invest up to $62.5 million in its preferred shares.

Alphamab Oncology (HKG:9966) said a Phase 3 study of Anbenitamab, or KN026, which it co-developed with Shanghai JMT-Bio Technology, a subsidiary of CSPC Pharma (HKG:1093), met its primary endpoint in the first-line treatment of HER2-positive advanced breast cancer, according to a Wednesday bourse filing.The company said KN026, in combination with albumin-bound docetaxel HB1801, significantly improved progression-free survival and reduced the risk of disease progression or death compared with the current standard regimen of trastuzumab, pertuzumab, and docetaxel.The study enrolled about 880 patients and compared KN026 plus HB1801 against the standard treatment regimen in patients with HER2-positive advanced breast cancer.

Alphamab Oncology (HKG:9966) said its controlling shareholder and CEO Xu Ting bought 554,000 shares of the company from the open market on Thursday, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.The purchases were on top of the 122,000 shares bought by certain members of the company's management, also on the same day.The shares were purchased for HK$7.375 on average, or nearly HK$5 million in total.Xu now holds 314.28 million shares, representing 32.4% of the business, the firm said.
