Visible Gold Mines (VGD.V) entered into an amended agreement with Morocco Strategic Minerals (MCC.V) to buy up to a 100% interest in the Sakami property, located in the James Bay Territory of Quebec, it said in a statement on Thursday.
The company concurrently completed the closing of the deal, acquiring an initial 51% interest in the property and becoming its operator. Visible Gold will issue 4-million common shares to the vendor, it said.
It will also grant Morocco Strategic Minerals a 1% net smelter returns royalty on the property, which Visible Gold may buy back for CA$1 million, upon acquiring 100% in the property. The common shares will be subject to a voluntary three-year resale restriction, it added.
Visible Gold Mines' shares last traded Aug. 31, closing at CA$0.17 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
