Thistle Resources (TRCG.V) launched a 3,000-meter drilling program at its Middle River Gold project in New Brunswick, it said on Thursday.
The company has a drill rig onsite, which is set up on its first drill pad. The Phase 3 Drill Program will continue to drill the MRG Upper Zone expanding the previous two highly successful drill programs that returned very strong Gold Intersections, it said.
"We look to increase the deposit's footprint towards our 2M oz goal. We have 7kms of identified high-priority mineralized folds on our property target area, identified by Abitibi Geophysics 3D Orion Technology," said Thistle Resources CEO Patrick J. Cruickshank. "It also has identified a new untested lower zone at 400 meters below."
The company's shares last traded Wednesday, closing at C$0.18 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
