Taiwan's Unemployment Rate Unchanged at 3.33% in July

Taiwan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged month over month at 3.33% in July, according to data from National Statistics, Republic of China (Taiwan) released on Monday.

The total number of unemployed persons edged up by 7,000 from June to 409,000, while the number of employed persons grew by 14,000 to nearly 11.7 million.

Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate edged up by 0.1 percentage points to 59.66% compared with the prior month.

India attracted nearly $65.4 billion through foreign currency non-resident, or FCNR(B), deposits under the Reserve Bank of India's special swap facility as of Aug. 21, the central bank said.That, combined with inflows through overseas foreign currency borrowings and external commercial borrowings, brought total forex inflows under the facility to $72.85 billion, according to the RBI.

The number of transport motor vehicle registrations in New Zealand in July licensed for 12 months fell to 3.8 million from 3.9 million in the same period last year, according to figures released by Stats NZ on Monday.Currently licensed transport and passenger motor vehicles across the country includes almost 2.3 million cars; 631,221 trucks; 606,013 trailers and caravans; 32,965 motorcycles; 26,557 omnibuses and service coaches; as well as 13,230 taxis.Meanwhile, the total number of commercial vehicles in July was 3,350, down compared with last year's 4,379.
