Rogers Communications (RCI-B.TO) and Quebecor (QBR-B.TO) said Thursday they signed a 12-year sublicensing agreement for the national rights to broadcast some French-language National Hockey League games beginning with the 2026-27 season.
Under the agreement, TVA Sports and TVA Sports Direct will distribute the games, with Quebecor's illico+ platform also joining the broadcast lineup.
Quebecor will hold French-language rights to as many as 350 regular-season NHL games per season, including 32 Montreal Canadiens regular-season games and all of the team's Stanley Cup playoff games.
