Red Metal Resources (RMES.CN) said Thursday that the first deliveries of copper sulphide ore from its Carrizal project were delivered by the site operator to the processing plant in Vallenar, Chile.
The 592 tonnes of material was delivered three months ahead of schedule, the company said.
Red Metal will be paid an effective rate of 8.5% net sales royalty on all minerals sold to ENAMI processing plant.
"With copper trading near record highs, these first ore deliveries to ENAMI are a meaningful milestone for Red Metal," said Chief Executive Officer Caitlin Jeffs.
"This small-scale mining activity provides the company with non-dilutive revenue to help support our general and administrative costs, while we continue to develop and prioritize drill targets at Carrizal for drilling later this year," she added.
The company's shares were last seen up CA$0.01 at CA$0.10 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
