Medicenna Therapeutics (MDNA.TO) said Friday its second-quarter loss of C$0.06 per share was unchanged from the prior-year period.
Analysts polled by FactSet had expected a net loss of C$0.06 per share.
The biotechnology company which is developing engineered versions of cytokines, which it calls "superkines", said enrolment in the monotherapy and combination expansion cohorts of the ABILITY-1 trial will be completed in the third quarter.
It plans to present updated MDNA11 clinical results in an oral presentation at a medical conference and to meet with the US Food and Drug Administration to discuss the potential for an expedited registrational development path for MDNA11.
Medicenna will also orally present new clinical data for its drug candidate bizaxofusp (formerly MDNA55), used to treat unresectable recurrent IDH-WT glioblastoma, a fatal form of brain cancer, at a medical conference, a statement said.
Medicenna shares were last seen up C$0.03 to C$0.43 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
