China Gold International Resources (CGG.TO) reported Q2 net profit of $275.8 million from $116.3 million a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 jumped to $461.0 million from $307.3 million in the previous year.
The miner's Q2 gold production fell to 37,498 ounces from 43,403 ounces a year ago, while copper production rose year over year to 41.1 million pounds from 39.7 million pounds.
