Blue Moon Metals Acquiring Land And Water Rights Package in Nevada For $8 Million in Cash and Shares

Blue Moon Metals (MOON.V) said Thursday it is acquiring a land and water rights package near its Springer mine in Nevada for $3.5 million in cash and $4.5 million in shares.

The property consists of over 2,100 acres and the associated water permits hold over 1,500 acre-feet per year of water rights in the Imlay basin, a statement said.

The purchase is expected to be completed by early next year.

"This acquisition more than doubles Springer's existing water rights and ensures that Springer retains its flexibility to grow into the future as a hub-and-spoke processing complex. The land package can also act as a strategic logistics hub, with access to highway I-80 and adjoining the Union Pacific rail line," said Chief Executive Christian Kargl-Simard.

Blue Moon shares were last seen up CA$0.08, or 1%, to CA$8.32 on the TSX Venture Exchange.

AutoCanada (ACQ.TO) after market close on Wednesday said it completed its acquisition of Doug's Place Southgate, a collision repair business based in Edmonton, Alberta.Doug's Place Southgate adds approximately 7,540 square feet of collision-repair capacity to AutoCanada's network.The acquisition builds upon AutoCanada's initial purchase of the first Doug's Place location (Strathcona) in October 2025.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.AutoCanada's shares closed up C$0.13 to C$22.36 on Toronto Stock Exchange.

Major Drilling Fiscal Q1 Earnings, Revenue Jump, Beat Forecasts

Major Drilling Group International (MDI.TO) said Wednesday after trade its fiscal first-quarter earnings jumped 44% to C$0.18 per share from C$0.12 per share in the prior year period.Analysts polled by FactSet had expected C$0.17 per share.The company, which provides contract drilling services to mining companies, said quarterly revenue rose 19% to hit a record C$277.3 million, beating the C$263.6 million FactSet forecast.Each region contributed double-digit revenue growth that was mainly driven by deploying additional rigs, combined with an improved pricing environment, said chief executive Denis Larocque.Major Drilling shares closed up C$0.04 to C$16.47 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
