Bank of Montreal (BMO.TO) has received approvals from the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada to proceed with a normal course issuer bid, the company said Wednesday.
Under the NCIB, BMO may purchase for cancellation up to 25 million common shares from Sept. 8, 2026, to Sept. 7, 2027. The maximum number of shares for repurchase represents about 3.6% of the bank's issued and outstanding common shares as of Aug. 31, 2026.
