Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) YouTube is expanding its partnership with Comcast's (CMCSA) NBCUniversal, with eligible YouTube Premium subscribers in the US soon gaining access to the ad-supported tier of Peacock Premium.
Subscribers will be able to stream a larger lineup of live sports, Universal movies and original series through Peacock, YouTube said Monday in a statement.
The companies also plan to introduce international bundles and upgraded Peacock plan options.
NBCUniversal said in a statement the broader agreement extends its multiyear distribution partnership with YouTube TV and will also expand the reach of its international streaming services Universal+ and Hayu in select markets.
Alphabet shares rose 2.3% in Monday trading, and Comcast gained 3.9%.
