Euro Manganese Amends Facility with Orion to Strengthen Financial Position

Euro Manganese (EMN.V) has amended its facility with Orion OMRF, which is managed by the Orion Resource Partners Group, to convert the outstanding loan amount into a royalty once the company satisfies a fundraise condition.The amended facility will help Euro Manganese's balance sheet and improve its financing flexibility as it advances the Chvaletice manganese project in the Czech Republic, the battery materials company said Friday.Following the conversion, the royalty increased to a range of 2.29%-2.46% of project revenues, which will be calculated quarterly based on achieved prices for the project's manganese products, Euro Manganese said.

MTY Food Group Q2 Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Decline, Miss Estimates

MTY Food Group (MTY.TO) Q2 adjusted earnings fell to C$0.97 per diluted share, from C$1.17 per diluted share, in the prior year period.Analysts polled by FactSet had forecast adjusted earnings of C$1.12 per share for the quarter ended May 31.Company revenue declined 8.2% to C$279.9 million over the same period, missing the C$292.5 million forecast. The decline was mainly due to lower revenue from corporate stores and from turnkey projects, MTY said.The company, which announced a strategic review last November, said Friday that it is closing 68 of its corporate locations, which had combined losses of over C$10 million in the last 12 months. WD-40 Raises Full-Year Outlook as Fiscal Third-Quarter Results Increase; Shares Up Pre-Bell

WD-40 (WDFC) shares jumped early Friday as the company upgraded its full-year outlook after opting to retain its Americas homecare and cleaning businesses and reported higher fiscal third-quarter results.The lubricant and cleaning product maker now expects fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings of $6.05 to $6.35 a share on net sales of $652 million to $667 million, it said late Thursday. The company previously projected EPS at $5.75 to $6.15 on sales of $630 million to $655 million. Four analysts surveyed by FactSet are looking for EPS of $6.07 on sales of $675.1 million.The revised guidance includes about $12 million in sales and $0.17 in EPS related to the reclassification of the Americas homecare and cleaning brands to assets held for use from assets held for sale, according to a statement.WD-40 shares were up nearly 15% in premarket activity Friday. So far this year, the stock has jumped 22%.Last fiscal year, the company announced its intent to sell its homecare and cleaning brands in the Americas and the UK. "As a result, we are no longer actively marketing these brands for the foreseeable future, and have reclassified these assets as held for use."For the three months through May, the company reported a 51% annual increase in adjusted EPS to $2.33, while two analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.57. Net sales advanced 24% to $195.1 million, compared with the $172.8 million consensus based on three analysts.Revenue from maintenance products grew 26% to $189.7 million, while homecare and cleaning sales dropped 17%."Our strong performance was driven by double-digit growth across all three trade blocs and continued progress in our Must-Win Battles, delivering solid double-digit year-to-date growth in geographic expansion, WD-40 Specialist, premiumized products, and e-commerce," Chief Executive Steve Brass said in an earnings release.

IEA: US-Iran Conflict Re-escalation Could Upend Expected Oil Market Surplus in 2027

The expected oil market surplus in 2027 could be upended by the recent re-escalation of the US-Iran conflict after the interim ceasefire deal was breached, leading to a renewed increase in oil prices, according to the International Energy Agency.In its July oil market report published Friday, the IEA said global oil demand is on the road to recovery, expecting it to increase by more than 8 million barrels per day by October from a low of 97.9 million barrels per day in May. Nonetheless, the agency forecasts demand will decline by 1 million barrels of oil per day in 2026 before rebounding by 2 million barrels per day in the next year.Meanwhile, global supply is projected to drop by an average of 3.7 million barrels of oil per day to 102.6 million barrels per day in 2026, assuming that renewed hostilities between the US and Iran quickly de-escalate. Looking ahead, supply is anticipated to increase by 7.5 million barrels per day next year if transit volumes rise."While the global oil market balance looks set to swing back to surplus towards the end of the year, the forecast hinges on the assumption that tanker flows through the [Strait of Hormuz] will gradually recover, allowing producers to restart fields and refiners in the Middle East and elsewhere to resume product shipments. Renewed exchanges of fire in the Gulf this week highlight the risks of not reaching a lasting peace agreement, which is a must for the normalisation in oil markets," the IEA noted.
