Wanguo Gold Reports No Injuries, Fatalities From Slope Failure at Gold Ridge Mine
Wanguo Gold Group (HKG:3939) said that a localized slope failure occurred at a non-operational bench at its Gold Ridge mine in the Solomon Islands, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.The company reported no injuries, fatalities, or property damage, and mining operations and construction projects at the site continue as normal.Wanguo Gold added that it has activated its emergency response mechanism, restricted access to the affected area and deployed technical teams to carry out inspections and remediation work.
