Top Cryptocurrencies Rise; Bitcoin Tops $78,000 Level
Major digital assets rose Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) rising above the $78,000 level.The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 3.1% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 1.6%, the S&P 500 increased 0.9%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.6%.Bitcoin rose 5.2% to $78,868, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume increased 31.9% to $48.4 billion.Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, climbed 4.6% to $2,396.XRP (XRP-USD) gained 1.7%, BNB (BNB-USD) rose 2.9%, and Solana (SOL-USD) increased 3.3%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) added 3%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) advanced 3.1%.The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.292% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, up from 4.289% Tuesday, while the five-year yield rose to 3.911% from 3.906%.The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 3.3% in the past 24 hours to $2.64 trillion, with trading volume gaining 4.7% to $160.43 billion.Price: $78880.15, Change: $+2538.42, Percent Change: +3.33%
