Top Cryptocurrencies Fall; Bitcoin Drops Below $65,000 Level
Top cryptocurrencies fell Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dropping below the $65,000 level.The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell almost 1.6% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 1.1%, the S&P 500 decreased 1.3%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.1%.Bitcoin dropped 2.2% to $64,152, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 14% to $29.92 billion.Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, declined 3.3% to $1,733.XRP (XRP-USD) dropped 3.4%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 1.5%, and Solana (SOL-USD) lost 3%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) declined 2.2%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) shed 4.3%.The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.461% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, up from 4.426% Tuesday, while the five-year yield rose to 4.229% from 4.149%.The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 2.1% in the past 24 hours to $2.21 trillion, with trading volume rising 0.6% to $79.23 billion.Price: $64197.34, Change: $-1408.11, Percent Change: -2.15%
