Zscaler Likely to See Balanced Fiscal Q3 Results, Oppenheimer Says

Zscaler's (ZS) upcoming fiscal Q3 results will likely show in line to moderately above-plan performance as well as some divergence between strong performance in the US and mixed performance in Europe, Oppenheimer said in a note Wednesday. The investment firm noted Zscaler's competitors like Palo Alto (PANW) and Netskope (NTSK) are "increasingly aggressive" in the Secure Access Service Edge, or SASE, market, which "deserves monitoring, but we see faster market expansion rather than share rotation."Oppenheimer also said consensus estimates for the company's 2027 net new annual recurring revenue seasonal patterns seem to not be aligned with recent low Q1 and higher H2 patterns which should make for a "front-loaded setup and a tougher [fiscal Q1] bar."Meanwhile, the company may also benefit from product launch catalysts at its Zenith event, which may support the platform narrative into fiscal 2027, the note said.Oppenheimer kept its outperform rating and $250 price target on Zscaler.Price: $172.49, Change: $-2.76, Percent Change: -1.57%

Zscaler Shows Limited Platform Expansion as ZIA, ZPA Remain Growth Engine, Morgan Stanley Says

Zscaler (ZS) has shown limited expansion of its platform and its core internet access and private access offerings remain its growth engine, Morgan Stanley said in a Wednesday note. While Zscaler Digital Experience is seeing early traction with bookings up 80% to $100 million in annual recurring revenue, the company's Red Canary acquisition has shown little momentum, putting all focus on ZIA and ZPA offerings, and challenging the 20% plus growth rate once Red Canary becomes inorganic in fiscal 2027, the investment firm said.Additionally, Zscaler is seeing the Secure Access Service Edge market become more competitive, with customers evaluating broader platform vendors with deeper networking capabilities, according to the note. The company remains well-positioned for long-term growth, but a combination of execution complexity, limited meaningful growth drivers and early-stage monetization of new products supports a more balanced risk-reward on the stock, the firm said.Morgan Stanley downgraded Zscaler to equalweight from overweight, and lowered its price target to $155 from $200.Price: $139.91, Change: $+0.30, Percent Change: +0.21%

Microsoft, Salesforce Recent Sell-Offs Disconnected From Emerging AI Monetization Opportunities, Wedbush Says

Microsoft (MSFT), Salesforce (CRM) and ServiceNow's (NOW) recent sell-offs amid the broader software disposal are disconnected from the AI opportunities over the coming years, with enterprises moving to integrate AI across their tech stacks on a priority, Wedbush said in a note Monday. The brokerage said its tech team has seen a rapid pace of enterprise AI adoption over the past few weeks, as per conversations with multiple customers and partners across the board including throughout Asia, furthering its enterprise software sector AI monetization thesis.Increased AI usage is also lowering the cost and skill required to execute sophisticated cyber attacks, Wedbush said, adding that AI in cybersecurity does not reduce the need for endpoints and their vendors, but multiplies it as more enterprises deploy LLM-powered agents, meaning more run-time monitoring and identity governance. In this context, Wedbush said its favorites included CrowdStrike (CRWD), Palo Alto Networks (PANW), Zscaler (ZS), Check Point Software (CHKP), and Rubrik (RBRK).Price: $378.62, Change: $+7.75, Percent Change: +2.09%
