Sector Update: Technology Stocks Rise Pre-Bell Thursday

Technology stocks were rising pre-bell Thursday, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) 2.3% higher and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) advancing by 3.9%.Intel (INTC) shares were up more than 8% after President Donald Trump said Apple (AAPL) has agreed to work with Intel to design and build chips in the US.Accenture (ACN) stock was down more than 16% after the company issued fiscal Q4 revenue outlook below analysts' expectations. Accenture also said it is acquiring a majority stake in Dragos and full ownership of runZero and NetRise in a $4.18 billion deal.Tower Semiconductor (TSEM) said it has shipped more than five million coherent photonic integrated circuits in partnership with Marvell Technology (MRVL). Shares of Nokia were up more than 2% pre-bell.Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI) said its subsidiary, Global Technology, entered into a one-year credit line agreement with Shanghai Pudong Development Bank in China, providing access to up to 500 million renminbi ($74 million) in financing. Applied Optoelectronics stock was up more than 3% premarket.Ouster (OUST) and AIM Intelligent Machines have formed an agreement to retrofit heavy machinery and vehicles into AI-powered fleets for use in mining, construction, and defense sites globally, the companies said.
