Village Farms Reports Update on Delta 2 Greenhouse Expansion Project

Village Farms International (VFF) said Monday that as part of the expansion project in its 1.1 million square foot Delta 2 greenhouse it has completed a first harvest in the first half of the expansion project and has started cultivation in the second half with an expected harvest date in late August.The expansion project in the British Columbia greenhouse started in November to convert the remaining 550,000 square feet of the greenhouse to cannabis production, the company said, adding several project phases are scheduled through H1 2027.Village Farms also said it is accelerating technology upgrades in response to rising demand.Price: $2.07, Change: $+0.04, Percent Change: +1.92%

Village Farms International Elects Christopher Woodward as Chairman

Village Farms International (VFF) said Wednesday that Christopher Woodward has been elected as chairman of the board of directors for the upcoming year.Woodward will succeed John McLernon, who has been in the role since 2006 and will remain a member of the board, the company said.Woodward previously was trustee of Hot House Growers, which is the company's predecessor in Canada, and is also a chair or director of multiple private and public companies, and charitable organizations, the company said.Shares of Village Farms International were up 2.9% in Wednesday trading.Price: $2.15, Change: $+0.06, Percent Change: +2.63%
