Village Farms International (VFF) said Monday that as part of the expansion project in its 1.1 million square foot Delta 2 greenhouse it has completed a first harvest in the first half of the expansion project and has started cultivation in the second half with an expected harvest date in late August.
The expansion project in the British Columbia greenhouse started in November to convert the remaining 550,000 square feet of the greenhouse to cannabis production, the company said, adding several project phases are scheduled through H1 2027.
Village Farms also said it is accelerating technology upgrades in response to rising demand.
