Chengtun Mining's Attributable Profit Soars 250% in Q1
Chengtun Mining's (SHA:600711) attributable profit surged 250% to 1.02 billion yuan in the first quarter from 291.2 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.Earnings per share at the mining company increased 251% to 0.330 yuan from 0.094 yuan in the prior-year period.Operating income grew 65% year over year to 9.35 billion yuan from 5.67 billion yuan.Shares slipped 1% during morning trading on Tuesday.
