Khen Energy Unit Commissions Battery Energy Storage System in Sri Lanka
Khen Energy's (SGX:YSV) step-down subsidiary WKV Hydro Technics commissioned the Galle Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Sri Lanka on Sept. 10, according to a Thursday filing with the Singapore stock exchange.The contract from the National System Operator, formerly known as Ceylon Electricity Board, was to build, own and operate a 10 MW/40 MWh stand-alone BESS connected to the Galle grid substation for 15 years.
