STP&I's Impact Solar Group to Acquire 60% Stake in Renewable Energy Company

Impact Solar Group, a subsidiary of STP&I (SET:STPI), has agreed to acquire a 60% stake in renewable-energy company Daisy Drive for 1.5 million baht, according to a Friday filing to the Thai stock exchange.The company's shares were down nearly 1% in Monday's trade.The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the month, after which Daisy Drive will become a subsidiary.Daisy Drive plans to invest in a 55-megawatt solar power plant equipped with a 40-megawatt-hour battery energy storage system to supply clean energy to a data center project.The solar project has an estimated total investment value of about 1.42 billion baht and will be funded through borrowings and financial support from the Government of Japan under the joint crediting mechanism.

STP&I to Dispose of 74% Stake in Data Center Unit

STP&I (SET:STPI) will divest its investment in ST Evolution, according to a Friday filing with the Thailand Exchange.The steel fabrication company has a 100% stake in ST Evolution via Hong Kong-incorporated ST Clean Planet (Asia) and ST Data Center.The transaction, expected to conclude during August, involves disposal of a 74% stake to a hyperscale data center service provider.The steel fabrication company will sign a share purchase agreement which will cover its investments in ST Evolution and ST Clean Planet, following which both will cease to be the company's subsidiaries.
