Impact Solar Group, a subsidiary of STP&I (SET:STPI), has agreed to acquire a 60% stake in renewable-energy company Daisy Drive for 1.5 million baht, according to a Friday filing to the Thai stock exchange.
The company's shares were down nearly 1% in Monday's trade.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the month, after which Daisy Drive will become a subsidiary.
Daisy Drive plans to invest in a 55-megawatt solar power plant equipped with a 40-megawatt-hour battery energy storage system to supply clean energy to a data center project.
The solar project has an estimated total investment value of about 1.42 billion baht and will be funded through borrowings and financial support from the Government of Japan under the joint crediting mechanism.
