Research Alert: CFRA Maintains Hold Opinion On Shares Of L3harris Technologies, Inc.

CFRA, an independent research provider, has providedwith the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:We cut our 12-month target price by $29 to $340, or 25.0x our 2027 EPS estimate, vs. LHX's three-year average forward P/E of 19.6x and peers' average forward P/E of 22.0x. We lower our 2026 EPS estimate by $0.21 to $12.04 and drop our 2027 EPS estimate to $13.60 from $14.76. LHX delivered strong Q1 2026 results with 15% organic sales growth. LHX's record backlog of $40.7B (up significantly with a 1.4x book-to-bill) provides strong revenue visibility, particularly given anticipated $25B in additional Munitions Acceleration Council orders. LHX is experiencing growth across Space & Mission Systems (up 24% Y/Y in Q1), missionized aircraft, and software-defined communications, with international orders that are particularly strong (2.2x book-to-bill). While the 2028 framework (three-year plan) targets industry-leading growth, near-term execution risks remain around capacity expansion, supply chain constraints, and the complexity of the Missile Solutions separation, tempering our outlook despite the strong momentum.

L3Harris Technologies' 2026 Outlook 'Incrementally Conservative' After Strong Q1, RBC Says

L3Harris Technologies' (LHX) 2026 outlook seems "incrementally conservative," given the strong Q1, with the company expected to raise guidance with its Q2 results, RBC Capital Markets said in a note emailed Friday. For 2026, the company raised its earnings outlook to a range of $11.40 to $11.60 per share from $11.30 to $11.50. It continues to expect full-year revenue of $23 billion to $23.5 billion.L3Harris' management sounded confident in the full-year revenue outlook and suggested the strong current momentum could lead to a 2026 guidance update with Q2 results, RBC analysts said. The company also indicated that the new chief financial officer's short tenure contributed to the decision not to raise guidance after the strong Q1, they added."We believe investors will continue to view the guide as conservative even after raising the revenue guide for 2026 after the Q4 2025 results," the analysts said. The analysts said the company could benefit from mid-single-digit organic growth, while a stronger focus on execution should help support confidence in its 2026 margin targets. Improved capital allocation, including debt reduction, may also act as a positive catalyst, they said.RBC maintained its sector perform rating and $365 price target on L3Harris.Price: $314.10, Change: $-6.45, Percent Change: -2.01%

L3Harris Technologies Increases 2026 Earnings Guidance Following First-Quarter Beat

L3Harris Technologies (LHX) raised its full-year earnings outlook Thursday after reporting stronger-than-expected fiscal first-quarter results amid sales growth across segments. The aerospace and defense technology company now expects 2026 earnings of $11.40 to $11.60 a share, compared with its prior guidance range of $11.30 to $11.50. Analysts in a FactSet poll are looking for $11.59. L3Harris continues to expect full-year revenue between $23 billion and $23.5 billion, while Wall Street is projecting $23.44 billion."We delivered a strong start to the year, with robust orders and revenue growth, coupled with progress across our strategic priorities," Chief Executive Christopher Kubasik said in a statement. For the quarter ended April 3, EPS rose to $2.72 from $2.04 a year earlier, surpassing the consensus of $2.53. Revenue grew 12% to $5.74 billion, also ahead of the Street's $5.42 billion views.Sales in the space and mission systems division jumped 24% to $2.99 billion, while the missile solutions unit saw an 18% increase to $990 million. The communication and spectrum dominance unit's revenue grew 3% to $1.86 billion."The global security environment is evolving rapidly, and the implications for our customers are increasingly clear," Kubasik said on an earnings conference call, according to a FactSet transcript. "Across the Middle East, Europe and the Indo-Pacific, the threat environment is driving greater urgency around readiness, resilience and modernization."Late Wednesday, L3Harris said it confidentially filed a draft registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a planned initial public offering of its missile solutions business. The IPO's size and pricing details have yet to be determined. Earlier this year, the company said the US government planned to invest $1 billion in the missile solutions unit."The IPO monetizes the Aerojet acquisition while creating a pure-play missile/propulsion vehicle with an unprecedented (Department of War) anchor investment," Wedbush Securities said in a note to clients Thursday. "We view this as incrementally positive; the stock should benefit as IPO pricing visibility improves and the market assigns sum-of-the-parts value to (missile solutions) separately."On Wednesday, General Dynamics (GD) raised its full-year earnings outlook after reporting fiscal first-quarter results above the Street's estimates. Recently, Lockheed Martin (LMT) logged March-quarter results that missed the Street's views, while fellow aerospace and defense companies RTX (RTX) and Northrop Grumman (NOC) delivered beats.Price: $320.70, Change: $-0.70, Percent Change: -0.22%

Research Alert: L3harris Posts Q1: Broad-based Growth Acceleration Drives Eps And Sales Beat

CFRA, an independent research provider, has providedwith the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:LHX delivered strong Q1 2026 results: revenue of $5.744B (+12% Y/Y, 15% organically) beat consensus by 6%, and GAAP EPS of $2.72 (+33% Y/Y) beat by $0.19. Operating margin expanded 120 bps to 11.4%, continuing multi-quarter improvement across all segments. The outperformance reflects broad-based strength from program ramps and international expansion, validating portfolio transformation and alignment with priority defense missions. Management maintained full-year cash flow guidance of $3.0B despite Q1 timing impacts. Record orders of $7.8B and 1.4x book-to-bill drove backlog to $40.7B, providing revenue visibility through 2027. We believe sustained momentum positions LHX well as customers accelerate procurement and allies increase defense spending. The upcoming Missile Solutions IPO in H2 2026 could create additional value, although a key uncertainty is whether elevated book-to-bill rates will continue as the FY 27 budget takes shape.
