Passenger Vehicle Sales in India Rise in May
Sales of passenger vehicles in India increased to 4,38,854 units in May from 3,44,656 units in the same month last year, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said in a Tuesday release.Three-wheeler sales stood at 70,720 units in the month, gaining from 53,942 units in May 2025, while two-wheeler sales also rose to 19,02,209 units from 16,55,927 units during the year-ago period.The data excluded sales of BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo and Tata Motors (BOM:500570, BOM:570001) vehicles.
