Liontown Resources Executes Farm-In Agreement for Argentina Lithium Brine Project

Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR) executed a binding farm-in agreement with Next Lithium to earn up to a 100% interest in the Centenario lithium brine exploration project in Argentina, with initial consideration comprising about AU$7 million cash and about AU$14 million in Liontown shares payable on initial completion, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The company said the farm-in structure allows Liontown to progressively increase its interest to 100% by funding about AU$56 million of project expenditure over four years, plus milestone payments of up to about AU$195 million in cash, Liontown shares or a combination at Next Lithium's election.An initial $15 million work program is planned over the first 12 to 24 months, including a drilling campaign targeting anomalies identified by a transient electromagnetic (TEM) survey already completed across the project, with Liontown able to earn an effective 49% interest in the project upon funding $15 million in project expenditure within 24 months, the filing added.

Liontown Resources Posts Higher Fiscal Q4 Spodumene Concentrate Production, Sales

Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR) produced 103,111 dry metric tonnes (dmt) of spodumene concentrate and sold 108,489 dmt spodumene concentrate at its Kathleen Valley lithium operation in Western Australia during the fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.The company produced 85,892 dmt of spodumene concentrate and sold 97,330 dmt of spodumene concentrate at Kathleen for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, an earlier filing showed.It generated revenue of AU$235 million during the quarter, up from revenue of AU$96 million during the quarter ended June 30, 2025.The company reported AU$561 million in cash at quarter end along with 21,384 dmt of saleable inventory on hand.The company expects fiscal year 2027 spodumene concentrate production of 390,000 to 440,000 dmt and total capital expenditures of AU$320 million to AU$370 million.
