Broken Hill Mines Restarts Mining Activities at New South Wales Silver-Lead-Zinc Mine

Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM) restarted mining activities at the Pinnacles silver-lead-zinc mine in New South Wales, with open pit activity underway and drilling, blasting, and truck/shovel operations beginning, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.Up to 50,000 tonnes of high-grade ore were identified in the base of the existing pit, where mining was stopped due to logistical constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic. The firm is planning to expand the open pit into the Consols South, Fishers, Rope Shaft, and Junction areas.First ore expected to be transported 15 kilometers to the Rasp processing plant in the June quarter. The restart forms part of the firm's strategy of a progressive ramp to full capacity of its 750,000-tonnes-per-annum processing plant.

Clean TeQ Water Secures Design and Construct Contract For Broken Hill's New South Wales Mine

Clean TeQ Water (ASX:CNQ) secured a contract from Broken Hill Operations, a wholly-owned unit of Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM), for a new ATA tailings dewatering plant at the Rasp mine in New South Wales, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.The plant forms part of Broken Hill Operations' ramp-up of its Rasp mine to a 750,000-tonnes-per-annum nameplate production rate, with practical completion of the dewatering plant targeted for the first half of 2027.Clean TeQ and Broken Hill Operations are also finalizing a long-term polymer supply agreement for the supply of ATA reagents and licensing of ATA technology to the mine.Clean TeQ's shares fell 1% in recent trading on Friday.

Kingfisher Mining Restarts Drilling at New South Wales Copper-Gold Project

Kingfisher Mining (ASX:KFM) recommenced drilling at its Copper Blow copper-gold project in New South Wales with the mobilization of a reverse circulation drilling rig, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.The drilling was due to start earlier this year but was delayed due to weather, access constraints, and the timing of regulatory approvals, the company said, adding that these issues have now been resolved.The work will support future development studies under a mining and processing agreement with Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM), per the filing.Broken Hill Mines' shares shed about 1% in recent Monday trade.
