VR Resources Applies to Expand Drill Sites at New Boston Project in Nevada

VR Resources (VRR.V) has submitted an amendment application for its notice of intent drill permit as it aims to increase the area and number of drill sites at the Jeep Mine in Nevada.

The application was submitted to the Nevada Bureau of Land Management to double the number of permitted drill sites from eight to 16, the company said Thursday. VR has begun the planning process for follow-up drilling at the mine, which is located on VR's New Boston moly-tungsten-copper-silver porphyry project.

The NOI permit was received on March 6 within 15 business days of application. VR expects a similar process time frame for the amendment application.

Kinross Gold Lowers 2026, 2027 Gold Production Outlook

Kinross Gold (K.TO) after trade Wednesday lowered its 2026 and 2027 production outlook, now expecting annual attributable production of about 1.84 million to 1.86 million gold equivalent ounces, 2% to 3% under its prior targets.The change to the guidance is mainly due to extreme weather and operational challenges at two smaller mines, La Coipa and Round Mountain, the company said, adding that it expects to produce about 425,000 gold equivalent ounces in the third quarter.The company also said it now expects production cost of sales for 2026 of about $1,420 to $1,460 per gold equivalent ounce sold and all-in sustaining costs of about $1,850 to $1,900 per ounce sold."Reflecting its strong cash flow outlook and balance sheet strength, Kinross is increasing its return of capital target from 40% to 50% of free cash flow to shareholders for 2026," it added.
