Volt Resources (ASX:VRC) said its Volt Energy Materials unit secured $5.4 million in non-dilutive funding from the US Department of War, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The funding under a zero cost-share structure for Volt will be paid in equal installments over 24 months, per the filing.
The government funds will help advance domestic refining and production of high-purity and ultra-high-purity graphite, while accelerating the planned development at the Volt Tech Center.
The company said its shares remain suspended on the ASX, and it is working to lift the suspension.
