US forces launched more strikes against Iran on Wednesday, to further weaken the country's ability to target commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, the US Central Command said in a social media post.
"At 6 a.m. ET today, US Central Command forces began launching a wave of strikes against Iran," it said in a post on X.
"The strikes are designed to further degrade military capabilities Iranian forces have used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz," it said.
Over 30 civilians have died and about 260 have been injured in the recent US strikes on southern Iran, Al Jazeera reported, citing Iranian officials.
