Chevron (CVX) said Monday its Chevron Business Development EMEA subsidiary signed a production sharing agreement with Libya's National Oil Corporation, or NOC.
The company said in an emailed statement tothat it was awarded Contract Area 106 in the country's Sirte Basin in Libya's 2025 Bidding Round.
NOC did not immediately respond to' request for comment.

Philip Morris International (PM) said Friday it has obtained authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration for the marketing of 11 ZYN ULTRA moist oral nicotine pouch products.The firm said the FDA issued Marketing Granted Orders to its US affiliate, Swedish Match USA. Major digital assets jumped Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $77,000.The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 6.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 each gained 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.8.%.Bitcoin gained 6.1% to $77,122, according to CoinMarketCap data.
