Major digital assets jumped Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $77,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 6.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 each gained 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.8.%.
Bitcoin gained 6.1% to $77,122, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 16% to $71.1 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, rose 3.6% to $2,414.
XRP (XRP-USD) surged 11%, BNB (BNB-USD) increased 3.7%, and Solana (SOL-USD) added 4%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) rose 5.7%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) jumped 11%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 5.1% in the past 24 hours to $2.59 trillion, with trading volume gaining 9.2% to $161.4 billion.
