House prices in the UK ticked up 0.7% month over month on average in July, following a revised 0.5% decline in June, according to government land registry data published Wednesday.
The average house price in the UK was 272,611 pounds sterling as of July.
The house price index was up 1.4% on an annual basis, compared with the revised 1.5% growth in the previous month. Analysts expected an annual increase of 2.1%.
