Major digital assets were mixed on Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) holding above the $64,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 0.8% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.5%, the S&P 500 added 0.02%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.7%.
Bitcoin added 0.9% to $64,859, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 1.3% to $23.39 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, added 2.3% to $1,917.
XRP (XRP-USD) declined 0.8%, BNB (BNB-USD) gained 1%, and Solana (SOL-USD) added 0.3%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) fell 0.2%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) declined 1.4%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 0.8% in the past 24 hours to $2.21 trillion, with trading volume rising 6.6% to $58.07 billion.
