Top Cryptocurrencies Mixed; Bitcoin Holds Above $63,000

Major digital assets were mixed on Wednesday with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) holding above $63,000.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 0.3% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq declined 1.5%, the S&P 500 fell 1.3%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 2.2%.

Bitcoin fell 0.3% to $63,502, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 2.9% to $26.5 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dropped 1.4% to $1,888.

XRP (XRP-USD) added 1%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 0.3%, and Solana (SOL-USD) declined 1.6%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 0.2%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) rose 2.9%.

The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 5.152% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, up from 5.111% Tuesday, while the five-year yield fell to 4.349% from 4.359%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.1% in the past 24 hours to $2.18 trillion with trading volume declining 3.6% to $64 billion.

Extra Space Storage Q2 Core FFO, Revenue Rise

Extra Space Storage (EXR) reported Q2 core funds from operations late Tuesday of $2.15 per diluted share, up from $2.05 a year earlier.Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.07.Revenue for the three months ended June 30 rose to $874.2 million from $841.6 million a year earlier.Analysts expected $875 million.The company raised full-year core FFO guidance to $8.25 to $8.40 a share from the prior range of $8.05 to 8.35.
