Top cryptocurrencies were lower Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) falling below the $63,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 0.9% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 eased 0.2%, the S&P 500 lost 0.2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.2%.
Bitcoin fell 0.8% to $62,862, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 4.7% to $20.38 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, declined 0.5% to $1,877.
XRP (XRP-USD) lost 1%, BNB (BNB-USD) fell 0.6%, and Solana (SOL-USD) was off 1.4%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) fell 0.7%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) declined 1.1%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 0.6% in the past 24 hours to $2.16 trillion, with trading volume rising 0.2% to $48.44 billion.
