McGraw Hill (MH) shares rose more than 16% in afternoon trading on Thursday after the publisher reported better-than-expected fiscal Q1 results.
The company posted fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.59 per diluted share, compared with a breakeven a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected non-GAAP EPS of $0.48.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $549.9 million, compared with $535.7 million a year earlier.
Analysts expected $532 million.
The company reiterated its fiscal 2027 outlook of $2.12 billion to $2.18 billion in revenue. Analysts expect $2.15 billion.
