Major digital assets were weaker Thursday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dropping below the $65,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell almost 2% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq fell 2.2%, the S&P 500 declined 1.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 1.1%.
Bitcoin fell 1.7% to $64,685, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 17.6% to $23.67 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, was down 2.8% to $1,869.
XRP (XRP-USD) lost 3.1%, BNB (BNB-USD) decreased 0.7%, and Solana (SOL-USD) fell 2.6%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) dropped 4.8%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) declined 3.1%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry dropped 1.5% in the past 24 hours to $2.21 trillion, with trading volume dropping 8.4% to $59.11 billion.
