Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has offered Australia access to supplies of jet fuel via the Asian country, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a declaration at the conclusion of a meeting between the two leaders, as per the press conference posted by broadcast service DRM on YouTube.
The two discussed their concerns over the months-long conflict in the Middle East that has impacted Asia in particular as a major buyer of oil and gas from the region and agreed to tighten coordination to protect their supply chains.
"I wish to thank the prime minister personally for his generous offer for access to jet fuel from Thailand which is particularly welcome at this difficult time," Albanese said at the conference.
Neither he nor Charnvirakul expounded on the details of the offer.
