The Stock Exchange of Thailand, along with its Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF), the National Innovation Agency and public-private partners, has launched initiatives focused on developing the country's New Economy businesses.
The bourse operator has established a private equity trust with an initial size of 1 billion baht to invest in new economy business, creating a pathway for a capital market listing.
Additionally, 15 higher education institutions and associated holding companies have launched a University Holding Consortium to leverage academic research for commercial ventures.
The trust will focus on investments in deep technology, digital technology, AI, medical technology and other industries.
Meanwhile, listing criteria has been revised to fast track business into the LiVE Exchange, the Market for Alternative Investment or the main board.
