Spin Master Acquiring Brooklyn-based Hapiko

Spin Master (TOY.TO) on Monday said agreed to acquire Hapiko, a Brooklyn-based toy company, for an undisclosed price.

Hapiko is best-known for Stickerbox, which uses Hapiko's AI-empowered operating system to" transform spoken ideas into stickers ready to color, collect and apply in the physical world," a statement said.

Stickerbox, which launched late last year, has sold out 13 times, Spin Master noted.

Spin Master shares were last seen down C$0.19 to C$20.81 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Stracon Group Swings to Q2 Profit

Stracon Group (STG.TO) Friday after-trade reported a swing to a second-quarter profit of $0.06 per share, from a loss of $0.02 per share in the prior-year period.The engineering and industrial services company said revenue advanced 6.5% year over year, to $208.3 million. Stracon noted the industrial services segment revenue posted the biggest revenue increase, jumping 21% to $147.9 million from $122.5 million.Stracon Group shares closed unchanged at C$10.52, on the Toronto Stock Exchange
