Sona Nanotech (SONA.CN) after trade Friday said it plans to raise up to C$2.4 million through a private placement of up to 8-million shares at C$0.30 each.
"Insiders and certain other existing shareholders of Sona may also subscribe for shares under the financing," it added.
Proceeds will be used to advance clinical studies and ongoing research for the company's Targeted Hyperthermia Therapy cancer treatment, as well as for general working capital, Sona said.
Power of Canada (POW.TO) after trade Thursday reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of C$1.55 per participating share, up from C$1.38 per participating share a year ago.Analysts polled by FactSet expected C$1.55.Revenue figures were unavailable.Great-West Lifeco (GWO.TO) reported adjusted net earnings of C$871 million, and IGM Financial (IGM.TO) posted adjusted net earnings of C$211 million.The company said its board declared a quarterly dividend of 66.75 cents per share on the participating preferred shares and the subordinate voting shares, payable Oct. 30 to shareholders of record Sept. 29.
ARC Resources (ARX.TO) after the market close on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of C$0.62 per share, or C$352.7 million, down from C$0.68, or C$396.1 million, in the prior year period. It missed FactSet estimates of C$0.71 per share.ARC generated funds from operations of C$816.3 million, or C$1.44 per share, compared to C$682.1 million, or C$1.17, in the same period last year. ARC also declared dividends of C$119 million (C$0.21 per share).The company said it delivered second quarter 2026 average production of 390,465 barrels of oil equivalent per day (61 per cent natural gas and 39 per cent crude oil and liquids).The company's shares closed up C$0.44 to C$32.98 on the Toronto stock Exchange.
