Singapore's economy expanded 5.7% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, according to advance estimates released by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) on Tuesday.
The latest pace of expansion was slower than the 6.3% growth recorded in the previous quarter, although it surpassed the consensus forecast for a 5.5% increase, tracked by Investing.com.
On a quarter-over-quarter seasonally adjusted basis, the economy edged up 1.1% in Q2, following a 1.3% expansion in the previous three-month period. It was in line with Investing.com's forecast for a 1.1% increase.
