Shell Indonesia inaugurated its Grease Manufacturing Plant in Indonesia, with production capacity of up to 12 kilotonnes per year, according to a Tuesday press release.
The plant complements Shell's existing Marunda Lubricants Oil Blending Plant in Bekasi and is equipped with technology including a contact reactor to improve production agility and efficiency.
The facility will manufacture Shell Gadus grease products used in applications including bearings and gears, with packaging available in drums, pails and fluid bags.
Shell said the plant will support customers across manufacturing, pulp and paper, steel, smelting, power generation, transportation, construction and mining sectors.
