Rigetti Computing (RGTI) said Monday it will team up with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center to build the TangleLab supercomputing testbed.
The project is being funded by a $5 million grant from the National Science Foundation and will have a supercomputer with Rigetti's Novera quantum computing system combined with a classical high-performance computing system, the company said.
Construction of TangleLab is expected to start on Sept. 1 and full operations are expected next year, Rigetti said.
Rigetti shares were up 12% in morning trading.
