Quimbaya Gold (QIM.CN) share rose 5.6% on Monday after the company said it started drill testing at the Tahami Center copper, molybdenum and gold (Cu-Mo-Au) porphyry system in Colombia.
Drill testing of the Tahami Center Cu-Mo-Au porphyry system started in late May. A confirmed 2.4 by 1.3 kilometer Cu-Mo-Au porphyry corridor, trending northwest-southeast, now enters drill testing.
The company said four independent methods had converged on the same target, de-risking the program before the first hole was collared. The minimum 5,000-meter diamond drill program is structured across Robusta, Bourbon, and Arabic targets.
Shares of the company were last seen up $0.0175 to $0.33 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
